Somatic nursing assistant → psychiatric nursing assistant → bilingual correspondent
→ MA in English → translator/interpreter → copywriter
My educational background is an MA (translator/interpreter) in English on top of an education as a correspondent in English and French from the Copenhagen Business School (CBS).
In addition, I am a trained somatic nursing assistant and also a trained psychiatric nursing assistant with approximately 20 years of experience within healthcare. A job that requires the ability to communicate with all sorts of people.
Following my language training at CBS, I worked at IBM Denmark's Translation Center for 5 ½ years. I started out formulating the texts that should help users of IBM's hardware and software to understand and use the products. Gradually, I began to write the texts that should sell the solutions.
From this point and on I began working wholeheartedly with marketing at various advertising agencies. I have developed and refined my professional knowledge as a copywriter holding positions of approximately two years at five of the leading relationship and direct marketing agencies in Denmark:
• Wunderman Cato Johnson (WCJ)
• Generator/e-scape → Tribal DDB
• Leo Burnett/iLeo
• Gekko
• Wunderman.
Before I quit my regular job as a copywriter in January 2008 to go 100 percent freelance, I had thus developed broad and deep expertise in the classical marketing disciplines:
• direct marketing
• dialog/relationship building
• mass communication.
